Hank Brock, CPA, MBA, ChFC®, CLU®, RFC
Chartered Financial Consultant®
Hank Brock's firm is dedicated to providing asset protection and retirement planning for high-net-worth seniors. Consultus Financial works with “middle-income millionaires” with total assets generally ranging from $1—$50 million. The firm works with both domestic and international clients.
Hank brings a novel approach to financial planning for affluent retirees. Rather than repeating the well-worn conventional wisdom of so many in the financial industry, he and his associates emphasize preservation of wealth, asset protection, and tax planning to provide the firm's clients with peace of mind.
Brock's has decades of experience as a business owner, author, and industry expert. His analysis of the relationships between people and their financial advisors led him to conclude that a fee-based arrangement is the ideal structure. Brock observes, "Especially for those reaching the age of retirement with substantial assets, there are many issues to address that don't involve financial products. With a traditional financial firm, issues without products are often overlooked as there is no revenue opportunity. We are not under that pressure."
Hank is also an innovator. He constantly searches for strategies to help retired individuals and couples:
- Maximize retirement income
- Reduce tax liabilities
- Plan for the distribution of their estates
- Achieve financial peace of mind
His search led him to develop the MASTER System, which is designed to accomplish all of the above-listed objectives.
Hank leads his firm with experience and professionalism:
- Founded Brock and Associates, a fee-based financial planning firm, in 1979
- Named one of America's top financial planners by Money Magazine in 1987
- Authored Your Complete Guide to Money Happiness in 1997.
- He is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Consultant, Registered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter®.
Brock makes education, training, and knowledge a priority for all staff involved in the planning process. He has led by example:
- BS, Accounting, Brigham Young University
- MBA, Investment Analysis and Taxation, University of Utah
- One year of doctorate studies (University of Utah)
- Hank continues to attend advanced-level conferences on a regular basis
- Obtained ChFC, CLU, and RFC designations
Since 1981, Hank has presented hundreds of public and corporate seminars on financial and business planning topics. He has taught some 800 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) accredited programs for Certified Public Accountants, attorneys and other financial planning professionals. In recent years, he has begun traveling outside the United States on a monthly basis to participate as a featured speaker at international planning conferences.
